The Great Plains Zoo exhibits nearly 400 animals representing some 70 species from around the world. The 45-acre site features open-terrain viewing centers of animals in simulated natural habitats, such as the new flamingo aviary, penguin pool, primate complex, Australian outback, birds of prey island, children's zoo and Asian cat habitat. The zoo hosts special family events throughout the year. Also located here is the Delbridge Museum of Natural History.
